Johnstone wins cons. match. Strayer beats Iowa St. Fanthorpe, will face Hump. #2 Tanelli beaten, Jags has big, big rematch with Gallick tomorrow. This helps the Bucs team wise.

Kent and OSU are both wrestling well. Hopefully Kilgore can come back strong.
Ohio State has had an excellent 2nd round with a Johnstone cons win and tight victories by Palmer, Jags and Sponseller. Hump mauled his man. Iowa State has already lost at 125 and 133. Iowa lost at 125. So far Ohio State has done exactly what they've needed to put themselves in position for a high finish. Is a "perfect storm" brewing? Too soon to say but it's been a good start--barring anything crazy in Pucillo's match--for Ohio State. Morrison, Rella and Triggas all have winnable cons matches later tonite. Not sure who Johnstone is facing.
Ethan--You're right about the upsets. Unreal. Again, I think this tourney is tougher because the wild card system ensures the brackets get filled out with higher quality wrestlers.

Does anyone else think Lashaway has a good shot at making the finals? This is crazy.

I was looking at that earlier, Scott, and agree that it is a real possibility. With Kennedy, Tsirtsis, and Russell losing, you get the feeling that this is the year for KSU.

This tournament is brutal. Top seeds are falling left and right.
141: Russell(1)-lost, Tanelli(2)-lost, Hoehn(5)-lost, Tsirtsis(4)-lost. Lashaway has a definite shot at AA and possibly the finals. Jaggers has to get by Gallick and it could be an all Ohio finals. Brutal!

Kent has three guys in quarters which means they have a very real shot to earn AA honors. Even if you lose in quarters, you AA if you win your next cons match. Bedelyon won his first cons. Hopefully Kilgore can get back on track.
Buckeyes almost got another break when Zabriskie (ISU 285) was in big trouble against Dustin Rogers. But he got an escape, a stall point in a td in the last 30 seconds to win. D-mn.
