OU wrapped a 2-0 weekend to NE Ohio with a win at CSU.

My thoughts:

CSU is on the come up. Whether it was being on home turf of motivation, but they were attacking in the 3rd in many of matches.

I respect Laney wrestling with the dual already decided. Why? He owned a win over Cheek already, so he put his seed on the line for the MAC tournament. Sounds like there was a 6 point move for cheek which sealed the match.

I think Earnest has long term upside. Only a freshman, I think he’s 14-7 on the year.

CSU has a long ways to go but they are much more competitive this season than in a long time. Kudos to Coach Moore.

OU seems to have a decent squad with several solid competitors. But no team is more injury prone (except Michigan).

With all the ducking going on, we need more people to do what Laney did. I personally dislike the ducking, even though I understand the tactical reasoning. While you're young and healthy, why not throw down and wrestle?

John - he was ranked, yes. Not sure what the deal is but I believe he is out for the year.

This program has had more than their fair share of significant injuries over the years. Ouch.
