Discussion Topic: Kemmerer Done For Season
Hank Kornblut added to this discussion on November 27, 2018
Iowa's former high AA Michael Kemmerer will have surgery and is done for this season. Nature of injury was not revealed.
Noteworthy because the Bucks are one of several teams fighting to finish as NCAA runnerups. I know--that's not the standard. But it would be a terrific accomplishment for a squad that just graduated Snyder, Bo and Nato. And no one is catching Penn State so it's the best possible outcome.
Iowa was one of the teams Ohio State was likely to be battling in the team standings at NCAA's. This is a significant hit for them.

People were speculating how good Kemerer ( just one m) would be moving up 2 weights to 174. Bowman moving down one weight may have equivalent point potential at nationals.

I think his shoulder kept dislocating last season and maybe why he defaulted some matches.
Still impressed that Corey Clark won a title with a compromised shoulder.

From what I saw, he suffered a knee injury in practice and was undergoing surgery soon.
