Fans want the emotional payoff of victory but this is wrestling and it is so hard and these kids give so much. I think we are not too far from where this team was meant to be anyway. Other than Kollin, virtually everyone ended up losing to someone of relatively equal of higher seed. The expectation was the Buckeyes would have more point scorers than PSU but less champs and bonuses. I can’t believe anyone is complaining about where the Buckeyes are positioned. Disappointed maybe. They are Big Ten champs and still in the hunt today. Personally, I’m looking forward to the finals, except 133. I especially look forward to 157. For me, IMar is easy to root for and Joseph is not. TR isn’t going anywhere he doesn’t want to go. He is a great coach if you include all things coaching, like recruiting. I do like that he seems to be letting J handle most of the chair work. I don't think this is a succession plan. I think TR is there AT LEAST another decade. Hopefully Tervel and J stay with him during that time.
