Very impressed and encouraged by this result. That's great that he gets to compete in Cleveland with a hometown crowd.

Which makes me wonder, who was the last CSU conference champ?

I believe Ben Willeford and Riley Shaw were both recent champions.

I remember watching Cheek give Nato a hard time a few years ago when tOSU wrestled at CSU. He's a scrappy kid. Very nice to see a Viking overachieve. The Josh Moore influence can't hurt. And he pinned Zacherl from Clarion in the finals. Zacherl was ranked top 6 at the weight. I believe he was undefeated.

Unfortunately, Nick Corba, their 184 and 2nd ranked in EWL, ended up 4th at their conference tourney and did not get an at large bid. That sux.
