Very happy to see Nick Corba get an at large bid. He's had a nice season.

Kinda surprised Cam Kelly didn't get in.

Same with Noah Baughman. He has some very solid wins this year and I believe took third at the EIWA.

Congrats to Butcher for making it to The Show. Baughman was the surprise for me as well. That kid had a nice season that should've been rewarded.

Surimi defaulting out really screwed one kid. Noah was that kid.

Suriano defaulting out may have saved Jose. As a Buckeye fan, I'll take that trade off.

I always try to understand the thought process of fans. Jason, do you think Rodriguez is more deserving than Noah Baughman?

Way more. Rodriguez had way less bad losses, and got second at the CKLV where Baughman dnp. They split in matches one of which Rodriguez won by major.

Can't argue with that.

Fair point. But i'd argue that Baughman also has superior wins than J-Rod. Bottom line, J-Rod qualified by placing. He didn't put himself in a position to rely on an "at large" bid.

Correct. I don't think Jose would have gotten in if he took 8th. I think his late season swoon, including a shutout loss to Baughman, would have left him on the outside looking in.

If he more deserving, maybe not. Does it benefit the team I want to win a title, yes. Therefore, it makes me happy.
