Logan into Semi Finals. Tough win over Chakaev in QF!

I hate the exposure scoring in FS where the defensive wrestler can score points. Logan was the aggressor, had the guys leg and then the Russian tries to score points by lifting and twisting the foot. This leads to these crazy interpretations of what was an exposure. BTW this is the same Russian Logan beat 4 years ago in the "Beat the Streets" match in NYC with a last second exposure in a wild scramble. Deja vu all over again.

One of the "in the know" guys I follow on twitter stated Logan's draw was just brutal. He listed the names and accomplishments - pretty tough foes. Nice to see Logan moving along nicely.

Nicola actually told me Logan was really good. Maybe I'm starting to believe him. Maybe. ;-)

For those of you who did not wake up at 4 AM to watch Stieber, what a treat. A 10-0 win over World Bronze medalist, and a last second winning takedown in the quarters and semis. Against Iran he literally secured the winning takedown with 1 second left!

So Logan has at least earned a World Silver?

What time is his final?

The Logan Resume:

3 Middle school Titles in 3 years
4 State Titles in 4 years
4 NCAA Titles in 4 years
First World Team....Finalist

I'm blown away.

This relates to the topic about Pletcher bumping up to 141...look how much better a wrestler is when he's at his optimum weight. At 145 Stieber doesn't make the Olympic Team Trials finals. At the right weight he's in the finals of Worlds.

What a shame that the weights have been limited the way they have. The old weights of 125.5, 136.5 and 149.5 would be perfect for the USA right now...and I assume every other country as well. I've never understood why they changed them. But I've never understood why they changed the high school weights either. As it turns out, I don't understand a lot of things.
