Discussion Topic: Hunter Stieber - Coach>wrestler

This is my Sunday thought based on limited data and gut feeling.

Given my understanding of the Stieber brothers, I take these points to be truths:

1) Logan has had a better career than Hunter
2) Wrestling has more of a singular focus in Logan's life, whereas Hunter is more well-rounded.
3) Hunter's skill set has been underappreciated by the average fan; that is, b/c he was injured, people have forgotten how damn good he is.
4) The brothers are extremely close.
5) Both men have a huge breadth and depth of wrestling knowledge.

That said, I can see a scenario where Hunter becomes a more accomplished college coach, but Logan is his hammer assistant.

Nonsense? Foreseeable future?

Hunter looked great at the Farrell. I loved his style. He wasn't taking wild shots from space and hoping to lock his arms. He had some excellent set ups and operated well under freestyle rules which insist on action. His career seemed dead not long ago so to see him beat Henderson, Dardanes and Habat and nearly win it all just gave this fan a great feeling.

I don't honestly know who is more well rounded or will make the better coach. But both seem to be great young men who train the right way and conduct themselves with class at all times. Credit to Jeff and Tina Stieber. That's where it starts.

For sure. I don't mean my tone to be misconstrued.

I believe that they both have been quoted saying as much about the well-rounded-ness.

That said....Dan Gable was an "OK" coach and he was pretty single-focused.

Hmmmmm... why does Brian hate Logan???

Kidding.

Both are phenomenal. Slight edge to Logan because he resides in Ohio.
