Just won a Cadet World Bronze in freestyle. Part of a USA squad that earned 7 medals in Cadet Free...which is insanely good.
Few thoughts after watching a couple videos of Carr at Worlds.
--Carr is the best pure wrestler in Ohio right now. Maybe someone's close but I don't know who. His movement and finishing skills are light years ahead of other kids his age.
--Carr is excellent at folk but he'd be better served sticking with freestyle. He could be an Olympic medalist sooner rather than later if he trained full time in freestyle.
--If he does decide to wrestle in college I hope the Bucks get him. He'll be phenomenal the moment he hits any lineup.
--The top level high school talent at this moment is just incredible.

His counter attacks have improved. Which is awesome to consider that he is still improving even though he's already at such a high level. He is doing a good job of not getting or being complacent. Excellent attribute to have and it will serve him well moving up the ladder no matter the style.

Realistically, what are the chances we see him in scarlet and gray?

Seems to be a fan of the Buckeyes, if that carries any sort of weight. The Carr family has ties all over the country though. So take that for what it's worth.

Tom Ryan has done well when recruiting top Ohio prospects. Think the Stiebers, Tessari, Jameson, Bo and Micah, Nato, etc....Only one in recent years that he went after hard and didn't get was Marinelli (and that was sort of odd as he verballed then backed out). Coach Ryan has struggled far more when it comes to landing out of state superstars. For every Kyle Snyder, there has been a Spencer Lee, Mark Hall, Jordan Oliver, etc...although Myles Martin and Ke-Shawn Hayes were recent successes.
To my way of thinking--admittedly not the most logical--Bucks have a good chance to get Carr.

David Carr beat Cam Coy of PA to win Whos #1 match.
Jordan Decatur beats Gavin Teasdale, also.

In watching that match I was surprised that Teasdale continually put himself in jeopardy with big upper body moves. He reminds me of Bo Nickal. Decatur got to his legs off of a re-shot one time, but otherwise was able to defend Teasdale's big move attempts. Decatur winning had to have been the biggest surprise of the night, outside of Ramos getting throttled like he did. Teasdale is the elite of the elite. Ohio boys 2-0 on the night with Carr's win!
