I have my ticket for the Classic, as well as the Wrestlers in Business event before the matches. I hope they're serving brisket that has been locally sourced.

Any update on the pre-meet Mister Brisket meal?

Hope we get a great crowd. This is a tremendous opportunity -- at a great price -- to show our wrestling community can support this type of event. . .and see great wrestling.

I think the Dean-Martin match is scheduled last.

I have an obligation that evening and cannot make the meet. It's killing me but I have no choice.

I'm open until 3pm on Saturday.

Drats...I can't make it there without a lift anyway though. Thanks!

I am meeting a group of friends at the Hofbrau House before the match if anyone is interested.

My predictions:

125 lbs Nathan Kraisser (Campbell) VS. Barlow McGhee (Missouri)
Barlow McGhee - Rationale: Kraisser's wrestling will suffer as a result of being at a second tier wrestling school

133 lbs Eric Montoya (Nebraska) VS. Zane Richards (Illinois)
Zane Richards - Rationale: Montoya one small step below Richards in terms of wrestling ability

141 lbs Bryce Meredith (Wyoming) VS. Anthony Ashnault (Rutgers)
Anthony Ashnault - Rationale: Meredith's run to the final last year I consider a bit of a fluke

149 lbs Lavion Mayes (Missouri) VS. Anthony Collica (Oklahoma State)
Lavion Mayes - Rationale: Collica is a great scrapper and good all around wrestler but Mayes has too much offensive firepower

157 lbs Max Rohskopf (NC State) VS. Brian Murphy (Michigan)
Brian Murphy - Rationale: Rohskopf tries too many low percentage moves

165 lbs Isaac Jordan (Wisconsin) VS. Daniel Lewis (Missouri)
Daniel Lewis - Rationale: Jordan is a cagey wrestler with good all around ability but Lewis showed much more ultimate upside last year. Potential National champ this year.

174 lbs Ethan Ramos (North Carolina) VS. Zac Brunson (Illinois)
Undecided - Rationale: seems like this should be a tight match of two well matched opponents

184 lbs Myles Martin (Ohio State) VS. Gabe Dean (Cornell)
Myles Martin - Rationale: Dean is strong and has a great snatch single but I think Martin can avoid being taken down due to his agility and has the ability to take down Dean with a clean shot.

197 lbs Brett Pfarr (Minnesota) VS. Brett Harner (Princeton)
Brett Harner - Rationale: Minnesota team in disarray might affect Pfarr's focus

285 lbs Ty Walz (Virginia Tech) VS. Connor Medbery (Wisconsin)
Ty Walz - Rationale: Walz too strong for Medberry

I didnt realize that Hofbrau Haus was still open. I used to go there as a kid in the 70's. Michael Symon should do something wrestling friendly for the event (like 75% off for wrestling fans). Just looked and that is a different Hofbrau Haus that I used to go to on E. 55th.

You might mean Sterle's Country House. That is on E55th and kind of similar but more authentic.

Jeff Reid is correct. Hofbrau Haus used to also be on e.55th. I also went a few times in my youth. New one shares the name but is nothing like it...although it's a fun spot.

Sterle's is more authentic. Been meaning to get to Sokolowski's. That's the real deal as well....much more truly Cleveland than Slymans.
