I'll tell you, Pletcher is an elite level kid. Didn't he beat Yanni D (2 X cadet world champ) last year at the Who's number 1 dual? With NATOs move up I question where a kid like him fits in. I liked the idea of NATO 125, Pletcher 133, and Keshawn at 141, but things don't always function that way I guess. It'll all play out in the wash I suppose.

Both Hayes and Pletcher were highly recruited wrestlers. Hayes is beating Pletcher in the room so there isn't any issues at 141#.
I'm sure if it was up to tOSU coaching staff, Jared Ball's plan (Nato, Pletcher & Hayes) would be in full effect. Pletcher was recruited to take over the 133# spot. Hayes appears to be a lifer at 141#.
Even though Pletcher is certifying at 125#, I just don't see him ever making 125#. For him to make that weight, your talking about some serious discipline when it comes to dieting. Pletcher is short, so he has the height for the weight class but with his build, I just don't see it.

How does one certify at a weight if they cant make it? Do they make it one time?

From my understanding, when a student athlete gets a weight assessment, their minimum weight is determined at that time and how much weight they can cut per week which is 1.5%. The weight assessment results is one thing but actually getting down to that weight is something else.
I'm sure there is someone on this board with far more knowledge then myself that can provide additional information.

Millhof, Oklahoma's 125 lb AA, is transferring to Arizona State. He will take a redshirt this season and compete in 2017-18.
Oh well, would have been nice to get him in Columbus.

Anyone have any insight on Nato? I'm wondering if he is going to throw his hat in the ring for 61kg World Championships. Would he be eligible? I've heard Logan is gonna wrestle. Nate seems a little undersized for 61kg but it would be worthwhile experience.

Here is the release from the school.

165 is the first "interesting" wrestle-off, and I don't say that because fellow #Mustang alum Burcher is there. Not sure if Kresevic is out or if he got beat by Cleary. Tom Ryan gave a short video preview and said Cleary looked really good. #DiamondInTheRough
184 will be interesting as Rozema beat Courts in the wrestle-off last year. Also interested to see how Martin looks, size wise.
197 will be a good look at Kollin Moore, and Josh Fox has starting experience.
285 is the battle for the part-time spot, until Tav gets healthy. Ryan said in the video interview that Tav was out. Dual wise, this could be a fairly decent whole when Snyder isn't wrestling.
Can't wait! #GoBucks

How the match-ups are written, are Cleary and Traub the "favorites" to win? Everybody else listed 1st is just that.
