I would argue that Kollin Moore...a 1x champ...was a Chevy coming out of HS. He's obviously a stud, making Jr World Team this year.

"more later."

If the Oklahoma kid transfers in, it resolves the 125 issue.

Pletcher is a BMW coming out of high school. I don't see a major issue this year with a red-shirt, although initially it didn't seem like that was the intended path, but what about the following year? Where does this leave him

I was just thinking the same thing. Especially if he can compete as soon as January.

So, is it safe to say Pletcher redshirts this year?

Any word on who the frontrunner is to wrestle at 165?

That leaves him as a three year starter. Depth (or lack thereof) is a topic that gets brought up often on this site. Top notch programs that contend for the title year in and year out are going to have AA level wrestlers who are not four year starters. This is a good thing if you're and Ohio State fan.

Pletcher strikes me as a kid who had aims of being a multi national champion. I would highly doubt that being a three year starter would sit well with him. I'm assuming he can't beat Nato. Time will tell but I'd be shocked to see him stick around with this shift in weights

Ok, what am I missing with the OK transfer? Anyone have a name or pedigree on this one? I'm in suspense here.

Jared: Pletcher is a terrific young talent and a great pickup for Ohio State. But my recollection of the situation is that the market for him wasn't as strong as one would expect. I don't know why. Also, he's quite capable of moving up to 141 in a year and challenging Hayes. And while I have no deep personal insight into this young man, he doesn't strike me as someone who runs from competition.

Ryan Milhof from Oklahoma who took 7th last year at 125 is leaving Oklahoma and Ohio State is one of the schools he says he has talked to.

If he came would he be 133 or would he go 125 and allow Nate to move up?

I have heard he is going to stay at Oklahoma now that Lou is the coach.

If he came to Ohio State one would assume he would be at 125 since Nate is moving up to 133.
Would not surprise me that he stays at OU now that Lou is there but I have no inside info.

Ryan Millhof transfer appeal was denied even though Rosselli wanted to grant him his release. If for some reason Millhof ended up at tOSU or anywhere else, he would be 125#, not big enough for 133#.
