Discussion Topic: Lag Time Topic: Memorial Day-Veterans on Dot.Net?
Justin Hayes added to this discussion on May 30, 2016

I've spent part of the day watching some documentaries on various wars which left me wondering who on the Dot.Net has served in our Armed Forces?

Thank you for your service!

Very impressive to see how many of our posters have served. Curious if Shel Harper's name belongs on that list. Also, wondering about Bill Drypolcher?

lol, GranTorino sleeps with the fishes.

GT served 63-66 101st Airborne.... however his service undistinguished-- rather he served with Carpenter & Hackworth, the most decorated, the most courageous ... thus GT declines to be recognized.

Bob, I feel the same as you. My service did not make me special. Anybody could have done what I did. The ones truly deserving honor are those no longer with us.

I was not in the service.

But, I am the proud father of a marine. My son Michael served in the Marine Corps 2006-2010.

I am currently an officer in the SAL (Sons of The American Legion) at the American Legion Post in Mechanicsburg. I will be assisting in organizing fund raising events for the Legion to benefit the veterans, and the citizens of the community.
