Yes. Molinaro just was eliminated. One more try. Hoping, but not expecting.

What a great tourney so far. Only given up push out or shot clock points. Will wrestle Venezula for gold.

Cox is terrific.
Does USA have any more chances at qualifying 65K?

Yes, 2nd World Qualification Tournament May 6–8, 2016 Turkey Istanbul, Turkey. The top two competitors in each weight class will qualify.

I really hope Frank qualifies the weight but I don't see it happening. These international guys have wrestled an American who shoots left handed HC's. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

The problem with 65K in US is the failure of one guy to rise to the top of the weight class. Molinaro is not a better option than Stieber, Pico, Kennedy or Hump. But he was allowed to wrestle defensively at the trials and had a good tourney.
He's going to be forced to be more offensive internationally and that doesn't play to his strengths. He has one more opportunity. We'll see who he has to beat.
Personally, I think the USA should send at least one more wrestler...and possibly more...to this final qualifier. Doesn't matter who qualifies the weight.

I am pretty sure that is not allowed.

With that said, is there any chance the U.S. sends someone else to attempt to qualify the weight? If so, who do you send? Everyone on U.S. soil knew it weeks ago that Molinaro isn't our best shot at Olympic Gold. But he has earned the right to represent the country. So, is it unethical to send Stieber, Kennedy, Hump, or Pico to qualify the weight?

If he's earned the right to represent his country, then he's earned the right to qualify the weight. He's The United States' guy for 2016, period.

Absolutely agree. It's his spot. It's his "responsibility" to qualify the weight.
One horrific call (Metcalf not being awarded a clear takedown vs Gomez at the Pan Am's) may end up with us not qualifying the weight.

Only one wrestler is permitted to go the to qualifier and only from unqualified nations (international rule). It is required that wrestler be the OTT winner (USA rule). It has to be Molinaro UNLESS he is injured, which allows a replacement.
