Looks like he's set to join the staff after the trials. Apparently Ross Thatcher is leaving? Wasn't aware of that, nor did the article really detail that situation.

One confusing aspect of hiring Logan Stieber and having Ross Thatcher leave is that I would have thought they would have wanted to fill the vacating coaching slot with another upper weights coach.

In fact, with Lou Rosselli and J Jaggers most likely focusing on the middle to lower weights, I would probably have advocated that the Buckeyes hire 2 upper weight coaches, especially in light of the All American distribution over the last 8 years, which shows the lower half of the weights producing nearly twice as many All Americans.

He is one heck of a wrestler. Can he coach?

Don't the recently graduated wrestlers often help the team as volunteer assistant coaches? Perhaps Tom Ryan and Lou Rosselli see that Logan also has developed good coaching skills, able to dissect a wrestler's weaknesses and help develop his skills. My view was that Logan Stieber wrestled in a way that few wrestlers can emulate so I am hoping he is able to help each individual on the team improve their own unique skill set.

Originally LS was supposed to evidently join the RTC staff. This is even better for the middle weight wrestlers.
