On paper this looks like an awesome dual numerous ranked vs. ranked wrestlers.

Will Bo and Jake wrestle?

Jake needs to win matches like this in order for the team to be considered contenders at the NCAA Championships. If Bo doesn't wrestle 165#, Daniel Lewis is a pinning machine and a minimum, major decision for MIZ. tOSU needs to go at least 1-1 at 165 & 174, going 0-2 isn't an option.

Just looking at the BTN broadcast schedule, the dual does not appear to be listed. I really hope someone (e.g. ESPN or BTN) decides to broadcast this event.

I'm only guessing but since the hosting school isn't a B1G school, it won't be on BTN network. The MU wrestling website doesn't have the dual meet on their Mizzou network either.

Bonus points could decide the match. But let's see if both lineups are full. Neither coach will risk too much to win this one. If someone's dinged, he'll sit.

Whether he's going to end up at 165 or 174, I'd like to see Jordan at 174 for this dual. Butler is very good and will be a great test for Jordan.

I don't really care about winning the dual. It's all about getting people ready for NCAAs. O

If the Lehigh dual from last year taught us one thing, it was this.

But I have a feeling some folks are of the mindset of "if we're keeping score, I want to win".

Good news. Found the match will be broadcast on ESPN3. I plan on watching after the Ironman Finals. ESPN does allow you to go back and watch any previous event.

For what it's worth, Missouri is pretty proud of the fact that they were undefeated last season in duals and has a streak of something like 27 duals without a loss. That could factor in.

They have duals with Ohio U and Kent State in the week following Ohio State, but no team will really challenge Missouri until Cornell on January 10. That's plenty of time to heal minor injuries and get back to 100%. I'm expecting a full boat for Missouri.

So, am I correct in assuming that by pulling MyMar's redshirt, Coach Ryan believes the Buckeye's can repeat this year?

I'm thinking that Tom Ryan knows more about Hunter Stieber's progress than we do and that might be factoring into his calculations about winning a title this year. In other words, if Hunter is making good progress, then it becomes reasonable to think that a National Title is within reach, in which case pulling Myles out of redshirt might make sense.
