I was perusing the mat.com and someone posted a rumor Isaac was looking to transfer to Ohio State?

I read that too. The rumor basically said he would be a grad transfer with 1 year of eligibility left. Also included rumor of Ryan Taylor potentially coming too. All rumor but VERY intriguing. You hear the rumor once and it doesn't happen, you dismiss it. You hear it again with a scenario that seems plausible and the wheels start to turn...😉

The Isaac Jordan rumor has been floating around since the end of last season, but now these latest rumors have more details on just how it would be accomplished. Now that Ryan Taylor portion being thrown in there is just too much of a tease for me. I can't give in to this stuff or I'll just see hopeful expectations crushed.
It would be a monster lineup though...enough to contend with the other top NCAA programs for another title.
125 - N. Tomasello
133 - R. Taylor
141 - K. Hayes
149 - M. Jordan/J. Ryan
157 - J. Ryan/M. Jordan
165 - I. Jordan
174 - B. Jordan
184 - M. Martin
197 - K. Snyder/K. Moore
285 - N. Tavanello/T. Haines/K. Snyder

Maybe Rex can speak to it better than me, but I never got the vibe that Jim Jordan was comfortable at tOSU. I'd be surprised if his son ends up there. The Jordans (Jim's side) went to Wisconsin for a reason. The possibilities are intriguing...but no more intriguing than Alex Marinelli switching his commitment to Iowa. Neither one's gonna happen.

But Marinelli DID switch his commitment to Iowa??

Would you rather have Isaac next year or Marinelli for the next four? :-)

By the same logic, we might have Chance Marstellar transferring in. He may be displaced from the Okie State lineup by Joe Smith and fits in better at 165 than 157. He'd be perfect for the Bucks lineup.
Just because it's theoretically possible of course...

To be fair...Chance Marsteller's cousins don't wrestle for tOSU. Isaac Jordan's do, though.....

So what compelling reason would they have to transfer?

^^^ Assuming you're talking about I. Jordan/Ryan Taylor: 1) get a specialized grad degree in a field of your choice; 2) join a relatively loaded line-up, in pursuit of a team championship; and 3) hook up/compete with your high school buddies/teammates/cousins. There's three reasons, what do I win?

I was slow on the upswing and missed the grad part; makes perfect sense.
