Jake Ryan was not a D1 caliber recruit coming out of high school and basically spent the last two years learning how to compete at this level (he deferred college enrollment for a year) Last night, as a redshirt frosh, he beat a solid opponent. While he is not likely to ever be an offensive juggernaut, his defense is stout and he is coming off a very good redshirt season. If you placed his improvement on a graph, it's a line moving steadily upward with no end in sigh. I don't know the Bucks long range plan for this spot but I doubt Tom Ryan would back off landing an excellent recruit if one was available.
