Discussion Topic: 50th Northwood Inv. Banquet
Steve Simok added to this discussion on July 26, 2015

On Thurs. Dec. 3rd 2015, prior to this years' Jim Derr Memorial Inv., Northwood High School will be hosting a dinner to benefit the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Jim Derr and the 50th Annual Northwood Inv.
We are early in the planning stages, but our plan is to have a guest speaker, a silent auction, and of course dinner.

We want to get the word out to invite anyone who has ever competed, coached, officiated, or been involved with organizing the tournament in its 50 years.

Also, we are asking that anyone who might have pictures, articles, programs, or brackets from the event throughout the years to send them to us (or bring them along if you can't copy them), especially stuff from the early years of the tournament. Everything can be emailed to Northwood Head Coach Nick Encheff at nencheff@northwoodschools.org or mailed to Northwood High High School ATTN:Nick Encheff 700 Lemoyne Rd., Northwood, OH 43619

Jim Derr started the wrestling program at Northwood High School and shortly after started the Northwood Invitational Wrestling Tournament. Jim suffered from Alzheimers and the tournament was renamed The Jim Derr Memorial Inv. after his death in 2002.
