" ***Dano latest scoop, good chance Mark Hall will be a buckeye."

privately i somewhat dismissed Dano's words as drunken rambling, but now i'm getting some confirm on this from another GOOD source. Now seems likely."

Mark Hall attending tOSU may happen. Hopefully his official visit goes well. He's good friends with a couple of wrestlers on the team so it's no surprise he's considering tOSU.

I know Tom R. and a bunch of Bucks were out in Colo. working with the World Teams at the OTC & Mark Hall is one of them. Wouldn't that be a killer lineup with Bo, Mark, Myles & Kyle?

Love these tidbits, Bob. Thanks.
Looks like Flo is diving into the Recruiting world. There is a place for this, look at Scout and 247 Sports and they revenue they drive in basketball/football recruiting. Would be great for the sport if something develops similar for wrestling.
Perhaps bookemdano.com?

Dano express remorse over death of Omar Sharif, classic roles in Dr Zhavago and Lawrence of Arabia. World class bridge player, famed lover.
Dano say he meet Sharif in Vegas, Sharif would take in show, he big fan of Elvis Presley. Sharif also BIG gambler, known to win or lose a million dollars in a siting.
oh, an aside Dano say ohio st and penn st battling over Suriano, however Iowa make big play very recently.

Does Suriano project as a 125? That would explain all the fighting.
What about Spencer Lee?
Tell Dano I read O Sharif's obit. Surprised to see he died in Cairo. Wondering if he left the USA to avoid debts?

i think everyone would still take spencer lee- incl ohio st -even if they got suriano. Suriano wr 120 his jr year.
Omar Sharif was a big film star in Cairo well before he was discovered in a screen test for his role in Lawrence of Arabia. Cairo his home though he was international playboy & gambler in his heyday.

Dano, we probably take you for granted and we shouldn't. Your insight into OSU's recruiting is money.
Who are the in-state guys the Buckeyes covet?
For the second straight year, Ohio is without a can't miss stud. As far as I can tell, anyway. I'm talking someone with the acclaim of Stieber, Taylor, Jordan, Tomasello, Palmer, or DiJulius. Our fine state is in the midst of a dry spell. That said, there's gotta be some Jose Rodriguez-Ryan Harris-Kollin Moore types that OSU will make a play for.
Who are they?

good points Drew,
ohio st incredibly young, all i mentioned in the 2/3-deep have 3 or 4 years left except Hunter, Courts, DiJ, MarkM and Tav. ---ohio st maybe not actively seeking any ohio senior, instead puting $ on superstars Hall and Suriano (& maybe Pletcher).
in ohio we've been spoiled by "Generational" wrestlers in recent years: Logan, David Taylor, Tomosello, Bo Jordan. Maybe we wont have one more for years, by definition.
among ohio's top seniors to be: Marinelli who is a star, Darmstadt going to Cornell- Ladnier available and i like him alot- Stencel to C Mich, Tyler Warner, Brent Moore, Mackall to Rutgers, Jack Harris, & Noah Baughman. As u say, not overall in numbers & esteem what ohio is used to but ohio st doesnt have room on roster anyway, they've accumulated such a powerhouse roster with probably one or two more imminent..

My apologies for excluding Marinelli. He is unquestionably a stud. I'm a dummy.
Buckeye fans are spoiled. Consider this: Marinelli de-commits from OSU, commits to our rival, and we will have benefitted from the transaction by landing Mark Hall.
I'd argue Tom Ryan is the best recruiter in the nation. He has a knack for getting into the mix with almost anyone from anywhere.

Ryan, Cael and John Smith are the best recruiters in country currently IMO. Tom Brands has stepped up his efforts. Minny has struggled a bit though they do a great job of improving the guys in their room. Zeke Jones has gotten off to an amazing start. Can he sustain it?
