"Specific to Chad Red....
Bucks had already landed Ke-Shawn Hayes and Luke Pletcher. Red was a luxury not a necessity."
|
Was no miss Mark, Hank is correct- ohio st did not need to recruit Red esp with Tomosello moving to 133 next year. Needs are Spencer Lee or Fix for 125."
|
tOSU better have a plan 'C' or 'D' if their top two targets are Fix and Lee. When all the dust settles, I believe Fix will attend Okie State and Lee will choose between Iowa and Penn State.

"EDIT: BTW, you PA homer ;-) they weren't winning a title last year. What you saw last year was what happens when tOSU decides to actively recruit. Sometimes I wonder who is steering this ship.
Hindsight being 20/20.....you don't think Nico, Zain and Nolf could have scored 35 pts?"
|
I honestly don't know, is 35 the amount PSU would have needed if you take out whatever they scored at those weights?

Corey,
yes Fix or Lee not likely buckeyes if Vegas were setting odds -- however life goes on, Jose Rodriguez came in this year, and quality ohio juniors are available to recruit: Drew Mattin of Delta, Zack Donathon of Mason-- plus out of state juniors like Renteria from Illinois. How bout Yanni from NY?
Idea is to get a kid who has the focus, work ethic, and toughness to move up stature in college. Happens all the time, Delgado high Ironman finish 4th- Tony Gomez took beating from Felipe Martinez there too, ended up 5th. But look how those 2 had great careers after high school.

Renteria committed to IA and Yanni committed to Cornell

ok then, ohio st coaches gonna have to prove how well they can size up a kid and bring him along (like perhaps Kollin Moore whom i am anxious to see). ---Ohio did have 11 AAs & 8 were not from Ohio st U
Must get a kid who has the focus, work ethic, and toughness to move up his stature in college. Who has skills that translate into college success??

Dano, can you confirm OSU is considering wrestling Micah Jordan at 141?

I remember when Martinez beat Tony Ramos. What a victory! He then lost to Villalonga in the finals. That was a stacked weight class. So hard to predict what those athletes would do after high school without knowing them and their attitudes.

Ha! Got'eeeem!
ps: Tread lightly on the request for info on Dano. He doesn't do introductions. Well, not without the cement boots fitted first. ;-)

In the Chautauqua's of the dot net, Dano is akin to our Phaedrus. :)

yes, well said Chris, i quote,
Socrates begins by explaining to Phadreus that following your judgment is "being in your right mind", while following desire towards pleasure without reason is "outrage". (Socrates were he alive today would then cite Dano's debauched life in Las Vegas as outrageous, yet quite pleasurable.)
