► Add to the Discussion Discussion Topic: University of Akron Wrestling Golf Outing Saturday, July 25th Jeff Streu added to this discussion on June 15, 2015 The University of Akron Wrestling Club will be having a Golf Outing on Saturday, July 25th at 7:30 AM at Deer Pass Golf Course in Seville. We are planning on making this an annual event, and we appreciate any support you are willing to give to our team. The cost is $65 per person, which is not bad considering most golf outings these days are $100-$125 per person. The price includes coffee and doughnuts in the morning, 18 holes with a cart, hot dogs at the turn, and a steak dinner at 12:30 PM. You can register for golf, dinner only ($25), or to sponsor a hole at: http://www.tournevents.com/2015akronwrestling. Please pass this along to anyone else who is a supporter of wrestling, loves to play golf, or just loves a good steak! Good luck." Yes, it is a very good deal. The general manager at the course has organized over 2000 golf outings in his career, and he provides all the tools necessary to make it successful. There are many ways to help out, even if you can't attend the event or to be a sponsor ($35 or more). There is a ball drop, where the winner (who doesn't need to be present) will receive $250. The ball drop will dump a huge bucket of numbered golf balls from high above, and the ball closest to the hole wins.
