Not to hijack, but as an English teacher, I feel that there are certain texts that should be on everyone's reading list. Some of my list will be praised, others mocked. No matter...each is great in their own way. In no particular order:

1. Catcher in the Rye (J. D. Salinger)
2. Maus (Art Spiegelman)
3. Mrs. Dalloway (Virginia Woolf)
4. The Sun Also Rises (Ernest Hemingway)
5. Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoyevsky)
6. Any Shakespearean play (W.S.)
7. To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)
8. The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald)
9. Friday Night Lights (H.G. Bissinger)
10. The Fault in Our Stars (John Green)

I assume you left the "Twilight" and "Hunger Games" series off the list accidentally (outstanding writing that shouldn't be overlooked)?

LOL!

Book: I don't like to read, so any book is equal to another.
Movie: I go through moods, but Braveheart, Taking Chance, Simon Birch, Shawshank Redemption or A Few Good Men are all great choices. I'm currently leaning towards A Time To Kill.
Drink: I enjoyed a Goose Island IPA down in St. Louis. I rarely drink anything (other than H2O) without eating something. Chips e salsa, BBQ chips, cheese and crackers, etc. so even if I went with a Pepsi, which I'd be more inclined to do, I'd need a snack.

Like in most cases the book is better, however if I was sitting on the couch on a rainy day and it was on the TV I wouldn't turn it off.
