or could be Strategic Air Command- before the missiles era- based in Omaha, founded by General Curtis LeMay, an Ohio st University engineering graduate. LeMay put real fear into the Soviets for 25 years of Cold War, kept Kruschev up at night and America safe with his 24-7 B-52 bombers always in the air strategy.

General Curtis LeMay was Walt Kowalski of GranTorino fame TEN times over.
LeMay famous for chomping on cigar and saying his strategy was to "Bomb em back to the StoneAge." ---he played big part in keeping America safe as the Cold War generations recall.
