It means it's all natural, therefore it's healthy. Eat up my man. It's essentially like eating a salad.

I was away, looking for the living among the dead.
I'm back now though. Stay tuned.

I like the title of this post. Hey, Niemann...
I think Justin is onto something. We can have a weekly ask Niemann mailbag/Q&A. What does everybody think?
I'll begin. Hey Niemann, what hot peppers do you plan on growing this year and will they really put hair on your chest?

Time Out...
In order to understand the rules to this better, do I wait until Friday to answer them, or just answer them when I see them?

I like the idea but think the title could be tweaked a bit. Perhaps it could be given a Seinfeld spin and be "Helloooo Niemann." Just a thought.

Aaaah, forget it. I make my OWN rules!
Peppers - This year I am going with the standard Capsicum annuum in the form of the jalapeno pepper. More than likely, I'll plant four, but could put in as many as eight.
I'll add to that the Capsicum Chinese, or otherwise known as the habanero. I normally grow half the number of jalapeno plants - so two plants, possibly four.
And no, eating peppers - much like taking shots of whiskey - will not put hair on your chest. That's all genetics.
Do know that these pepper plants will complement the garlic that has been growing steadily since I first planted them in November. On November 1st, 2014 I planted 138 cloves of garlic. All of these cloves were holdovers from the year prior. In the same way, I will hold back anywhere from 35 to 40 fists (all total 140-160 cloves) back and plant them in November 2015.
The third of my three beds has asparagus. My mother-in-law handed me 12 shoots last year and said "Plant these." Well I'm no fool! So my son and I researched how to plant them and did what it said! They grew quite well last year and have already begun to send up shoots for this year!
The Mrs wants lettuce so I'll be planting those seeds soon (again, because I'm no fool!) My son and daughter are looking to try out their green thumbs by planting carrots, radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers and sunflower seeds!
Happy planting!

Niemann,
Do you think refined sugars are addictive?
(For old time's sake: "Niemann....Go!"

Addictive? No.
Darn good? Heck yes!!!!! I've had seven servings of refined sugar in the form of Reese's Peanut Butter eggs! I'm going to go eat the last one.
I eat because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because I eat. #VisciousCycle

I absolutely loved "Leaves of Grass"! Leaned heavily towards "Song of Myself" more than the other works contained within.
Another one I liked...
I HEAR America singing, the varied carols I hear;
Those of mechanics—each one singing his, as it should be, blithe and strong;
The carpenter singing his, as he measures his plank or beam,
The mason singing his, as he makes ready for work, or leaves off work;
The boatman singing what belongs to him in his boat—the deckhand singing on the steamboat deck; 5
The shoemaker singing as he sits on his bench—the hatter singing as he stands;
The wood-cutter’s song—the ploughboy’s, on his way in the morning, or at the noon intermission, or at sundown;
The delicious singing of the mother—or of the young wife at work—or of the girl sewing or washing—Each singing what belongs to her, and to none else;
The day what belongs to the day—At night, the party of young fellows, robust, friendly,
Singing, with open mouths, their strong melodious songs.

Hey, Niemann....
Where is P-Camp?
Do we need to set up a Grid Search (or maybe even an Extraction, if the situation is dire enough) to locate our beloved brother?
