Quote from Bob Preusse's post:

"

u right Shel, center field bleachers never hit-- the Indians had the seat Luke Easter hit in upper right field painted a different color to commemorate his mammoth blast."

Back in the day, when I loved baseball. I saw Frank Howard launch one that flew into the tunnel to the left of the bleachers. I also saw someone hit the bleacher front on one bounce. I think it was Woody Held. The memories can go dim.

Some Indians trivia:
1. As you walked down West 3rd, the old guy had his big display. They were 4 for a quarter. What was he selling?
2. What did Rocky Colavito make you do if you wanted his autograph after the game?
3. During TV broadcasts, when a Cleveland Indian hit a home run, during one of the three inninngs that Carling Black Label beer sponsored, what did broadcaster Jimmy Dudley yell out?

Probably should have it's own thread.

I voted for Logan, who has a comfortable lead at the moment.

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:

"Effing Mocco.

Sorry but give me Tom Rowlands and Nick Gwiz any day of the week over guys like Mocco and Nelson.

A match between Tommy and Nick G would have been epic. Final score of around 12-10 (Tom would win of course)."

My feelings exactly. That guy made watching paint dry look like an attractive alternative.

I assume most if not everyone on this site would choose Logan as this year's Hodge winner.

Who do you think deserves 2nd place?

In my opinion it has to be between Dieringer and Martinez.

My vote is Dieringer with Martinez a close 2nd due to Dieringer's bonus point victories.

What if both Dieringer and Martinez both go undefeated again next year. Can you ignore the fact that it will be Dieringer's 3rd NCAA title in a row and look at only next season's results? It's hard not to consider past success. Also, can you give the award to a sophomore knowing a very deserving senior will not get another chance?

Both Dieringer and Martinez are Hodge worthy wrestlers.

If both go undefeated next year, and they both have dominant records, then Mike Chapman's got his work cut out for himself.

When do the results of the Hodge vote come out? In other words, when does Logan get his trophy?

Bo Jordan had a dominating percentage record (except for two losses, of course). If somehow HE were to go undefeated.........

The Ohio State has some very possible Hodge candidates looming. Maybe next year.
