If you are referencing the Jr Hodge then yes Logan did win that. I remember listening to his acceptance speech.

If you're wondering if Logan deserves it for reasons above and beyond being a 4x champ:

Logan 29-0 18 wins by pin or TF
Dieringer: 33-0 15 wins by pin or TF
Gwiz: 35-0 15 wins by pin of TF
Imart: 35-0 16 wins by pin or TF

Logan is the only Hodge candidate whose opponents went the distance in less than half his matches. And that doesn't take into account that he had two forfeits. He is clearly the most dominant wrestler if one measures it by how often opponents were unable to go the distance.

The Hodge not going to Logan would be similar to the Heisman not going to Payton Manning when he was at Tennessee. The award would be diminished.

And I voted for Logan.

MikeT u right, i just checked with Mike Finn editor of WIN-- he tells me WIN (Mike Chapman) created both awards and sponsors both, sharing the Hodge with Culture House (Chapmanā€™s publishing co.) and the Junior Hodge with the AAU.

Finn tells me Logan will be THE FIRST to win both college and hs Hodge, which the hs was first awarded in 1998.... College in 1995.

having said that- David Taylor, who for some mysterious reason didnt get the HS Hodge and won 2 college Hodges, imo he should have won both but Logan will be the first.

TRIVIA QUESTION, without googling, what other TWO ohioans won the high school Jr Hodge???? Total of 3 Ohioans have won it. ...s/BobP

Didn't Garcia win it before he had all of the injuries.

Changing sports for a second:

Bob, you and I had a forum discussion about Luke Easter not long ago.

I have a question:

Was his teammate safe at first in 1953?

I know the answer, but I broke down and googled. I'll just watch...

Just voted for Logan, by the way. He has double the percentage of votes of 2nd place Dieringer:

Stieber: 44%
Dieringer: 22%
Martinez: 21%
