Hank I'm working my way through Einstein's biography. While not a theist it is fascinating to read about his journey toward a more mystical understanding of the universe as he got older. Reminded me of your comments. There you go...you just got compared to Einstein.

Nah. hank, I don't care what religion someone is or isn't. "public" is a broad term. if you mean public institutions and their employees shouldn't promote religion, that's fine. but you said there's no place for it in public life.......that to me means I can't say a prayer before eating in a restaurant, or walk around in a park with a John 3:16 shirt on (not that I do that), or a kid can't kneel for a short prayer before or after a wrestling match, or post on this forum that I'm a Christian.......that I have a major problem with, as should anyone. I don't like restricting any kind of free speech, even things I don't agree with.

I don't partake in any such forums, BUT I had the Buckeyes vs Edinboro match on at my fly fishing display at the Columbus Fishing Show last weekend. And I can guarantee you we talk come wrestling at my men's retreats!
