Discussion Topic: Dangling Legs...Passing the Buck(eye)
Bruce Andrews added to this discussion on February 21, 2015
I watched the tOSU - Lehigh match today and one thing I noticed was that a number of Buckeye wrestling basically dangle/drag their legs behind them when they shoot for a takedown, allowing the Lehigh wrestler to reach back for an ankle and pass the leg. This often resulted in a stalemate and even sometimes a takedown for the Lehigh wrestler.
I wonder if there is a drill that the tOSU wrestlers could work on to ensure that their legs are well positioned when they shoot for a takedown. Tomasello is one who is especially good at sweeping his legs around so that the opposing wrestler cannot grab them.

I hear Rex Holman discussing the need for specific preparation for specific positions somewhere in the universe.
