Have not heard from him at all this year. Any word about what is going on?

Called me last week. (My daughter was sick. He wished her a speedy recovery and talked to her for a quick second. What a guy!)

All I remember was hearing that he was hurt. He's still on the roster. Good kid, good student in high school so I'm assuming it's just an injury situation and that he's going to be battling for a spot next season.

I was wondering the same about Haines' hs rival, Nevills, now at PSU, he and Bo Nickal. I haven't seen their names in any open tourney results.

Nevils is renked 6th in the country in SHP's computer model for 285's. So I assume he is having an excellent red-shirt year to have that high a ranking while not wrestling a full competitive D1 schedule.

Nolf, Nevills and Nickal--the Three N's are all doing well. Plus Megaludis and Retherford are also redshirting. That's a heckuva group to withhold for a season and still be a top six team in the nation.

Hank:

It is almost on par with OSU in 2014 earning 6th in the NCAA's despite red-shirting Tomasello, Bo Jordan, Kyle Snyder, Hunter Logan, and they lost Josh Demas for year due to injury. That's five strong starters when healthy. - These are parallel situations!

Snyder was a Sr. in HS last year, not a redshirt.

Pat: Thought about that and agree that there are similarities. But I'm always blown away by PSU's depth.
