Discussion Topic: 165 Jordan vs. Jordan
Reed Vetovitz added to this discussion on January 25, 2015

I've seen both wrestle a few matches this year. From what I've seen, without hesitation, I'd bet on Isaac. Watching his complete domination of AA level wrestlers Harger and Massa have me thinking he could beat anyone at 165, including Dieringer. After his match with Massa Friday night, I was expecting the Michigan State Police to arrest him for assault. Brutal domination. Unlike the match with Bo, after the 1st period, it seemed like Massa knew he had no chance to take Isaac down and he got mentally broken early in the match from that and the punishing riding. Maybe Massa was sick or just having a bad day, but I'm guessing Isaac is just that good...and strong.

I'm still leaning towards Isaac, but after Bo's last couple of matches, the needle is moving towards him. I wonder if these two have locked horns practicing during the off-seasons over the past couple of years, or have they avoided doing so.

I've heard the opposite and that if they wrestled 10x they would split almost everytime

Historically Bo should have a better chance at being an NCAA champ. How many champs are sons of NCAA champs? Seems like sons never reach the success of their fathers i.e. Mark Churella, Wade Schalles, John Peterson, Dwayne Goldman. Isaac's dad was the NCAA champ, not Bo's, right?

Recall These Two Matches?
There was also a lot of hoopla when Isaiah Martinez of Lemoore (Calif.) met Bo Jordan of St. Paris Graham (Ohio) two years in a row at the Ironman. Bo Jordan won both finals 2-0 and 4-2. Well, look at these two redshirt freshmen now. Jordan at Ohio State is the No. 3 ranked 165 and Martinez at the U of Illinois is the No. 2 ranked 157; both are undefeated.

I want Bo to win a NCAA Championship this year so bad I may need to take Niemann's "Stalking: 101" refresher course.
