Never heard TR say they wouldn't lose a match this year. I did hear him say multiple times their goal -- and expectation -- was NCAAs. Regardless, duals are always susceptible to injury. Hunter and Bojo have been non factors until Iowa. Hopefully Hunter will be fine. We beat both Missouri and VT with them in comp shape.
And don't discount the ultimate peaker - Jags - being on staff. No one will panic and they will know what it takes to be ready at B10s and NCAAs.
Can't wait for Myles Martin next year. Will solve the gas tank problems at either 174 or 184. Very competitive.

No way Myles Martin can touch Mark Martin or Ken Courts.

fyi, ive been contacted by Ohio St recruit KeShawn Hayes father, he has been trying to get registered on this website to no avail he tells me. In his interest i have forward his email to appropriate ow.net authorities (as i know them to be anyway)
ow.net honchos, let's get Mr Hayes and some other savvy contributors registered on here, let's expand the pool. We need some new blood (& more high school imo). ...s/BobP

You may have some argument about Courts but I believe Myles is not only a higher ranked recruit than Mark Martin was but I think he has more skill and a bigger gas tank.
Time will tell but I have watched several of his matches and he beats almost everyone not named Valencia. . .and those were, I believe, OT losses.

Roe: I appreciate your optimism. As a comparison, Martin beat John Sebastian earlier this season. I'll let others compare the ability of Sebastian to My.Martin. I'd argue they're roughly comparable.

Dear God,
It is obvious of your stance on Hank and I's need to win the lottery. However, if you would be so kind as to answer @BobP's request, it would do our heart good.
Thanks,
Lowly Sinner

Has anyone wrestled a tougher schedule than Mark Martin? Seems like he never has an "easy" match.
Tavanello is another guy who always seems to be taking the mat against a monster.

"10 reasons to R-E-L-A-X
1) It is the first week of January.
2) Every wrestler is improving as the season matures.
3) The team has only wrestled one event with their full lineup.
4) No titles have ever been won in January.
5) As good as the three freshman are, they will improve the most over the next 2 1/2 months.
6) Hunter will be just fine, his last name is Stieber
7) Success at the NCAA's looks completely different than how a team performs in duals.
8) This team is built for tournaments.
9) This team is built to peak in March.
10) Everyone knows what the expectations are. This is OSU's time, OSU's year."

I wish you would have to. It was a great celebration of a special group of coaches & kids who remained focused through preseason hype, pressure, adversity, injuries, and upsets. Something that everyone of them will cherish for a lifetime.

What I like about the challenges these young men face is that they have to try and succeed through tremendous adversity, and that, should their goals not be reached, they ultimately have to accept those defeats with a measure of class and use those defeats as an impetus to future successes.
When Logan was being interviewed, I saw our team rejoicing in victory. What a great thing to see!

It's funny that you wrote this on 1/7/15, because looking back now, everything you said was dead spot on. Except for #6, even a Stieber can't win without any arms!

And if you watched his interview, he is just fine. His injury didn't change that fact -- in what really matters in life.
