Such horrible and sad news. Thoughts and prayers to Kosta's friends and family in these difficult times.

Video of the vigil for Kosta on the Oval last night looked beautiful.

from Urban Meyer press conf today, there is Truth here (from Cleveland.com):

Meyer said Kosta Karageorge loved football, and loved helping the team as a walk-on

Meyer asked about the difference between scholarship and walk-ons. "There's some scholarship players on this team who hate it, they do it because they're getting their school paid for."

I wish to add my condolences to Kosta's friends and family. I was very saddened to hear the news when he was found. I, like everyone else hoped that he would show up after a few days in fine condition. But it was not the case.

I know little about him except through this site and his efforts, primarily on the wrestling mat. When he signed on with the wrestling team, we knew very little about him. But over the years, it was evident that he was hard working and gave every effort to progressing and succeeding in his wrestling career.

By last year, his skills and experience had given him a chance to dominate in the 'gray-shirt' tournaments. If I recall correctly, he won five tournaments last year. A lot of guys on the team didn't even wrestle in that many tourneys last year.

So, Kosta got a bit of a reputation as a hard working guy that will wrestle anybody, anywhere, anytime. The epitome of a hard-working, energetic driven athlete. He was never considered to be one of the studs, but he worked for everything he got. That is something that most of us can relate to.

Again, I wish the best to his close family and friends in their time of mourning, and I will always fondly remember Kosta as someone who maximized his effort and gave it all he could.

Pat - agree with your note. I admired Kosta as a fan, competed every weekend. And as a 4th year student. He obviously loved to compete.

I think about that text he sent to his mom, and my thoughts and prayers are focused on her. What a parent endures in this situation is hard for me to understand.

The tweets from the wrestlers show he was beloved.

The reason for the multiple postings is that each story adds something to the overall picture. Again, best to him and his family.
