Well, if anyone was worried about Micah Jordan after his wrestle off, it's officially time to relax. He's mowing them down.

I still wonder if he is a true 157 or if he would be better served to wrestle 149. Perhaps with a long-range view, 157 is the weight class to grow into.
Whatevs. Nice championship.

Some things that we take away from the Buckeyes performance at Mercyhurst:
1) Bucks had 4 champions with a limited team, in a limited field. - We will face tougher competition, but it is good to get a few wins under the belt before the opponents get brutal, which will happen soon enough!
a) Micah Jordan - 157 - Is now undefeated and has won his first two college championships.
b) Dom Prezzia - 174 - Good to see him win a tournament. He is important for depth at 174. Mark Martin has been somewhat succeptible to injuries, so it is important to have someone at that weight that can step in and provide a competent filler at the weight when it is needed.
c) Johnni DiJulius - 133 - Good to Johnni healthy and winning a tournament after taking off the MSU Open due to injury concerns.
d) Kenny Courts - 185 - Ditto what I said about Johnni.
2)Bucks had two runner-up finishes.
a) Justin Kresevic - 165 - Took a MMF in the finals. Interesting that Justin moved up to 165 here. He and Randy Languis and Micah had all been competing with Josh Demas to take control of the 157 class, it is probably our deepest weight.
b) Ryan Harris - 174 - Ryan has another good tounament in his second college appearance. He took a MMF to Dom Prezzia. We are developing more depth at 174.
3) Matt O'Hara - 197 took third, notice that he went up a couple of weights this year, similar to Nick last year.
What do these results tell us going forward?
1) It's great to see Johnni and Kenny get tournament wins in their first appearances of the year.
2) Micah Jordan is off to a great collegiate start. - But, OSU has so much depth at 157 this year, that I doubt that he would not be red-shirted. - We have three other guys at that weight that have used their red-shirts that are capable of wrestling that weight respectably, and Demas is already ranked in the top 10 nationally.
I am starting to see guys stepping up to be second on the depth charts.
157 - Randy Languis
165 - Justin Kresevic
174 - Dom Prezzia
Ryan Harris isn't looking bad here, but do they want to burn the red-shirt?
197 - Matt O'Hara
285 - Ray Gordon
I wonder if Kosta will be back after football season is over?
