Surprised by Nate's utter domination of Moisey.

Martin also in finals after defeating Sebastian 5-2. Jake Ryan only has one loss so far in open bracket and will wrestle for 5th.

I saw Tavanello and Languis will be going for 5th as well. Having not seen the brackets, am I assuming correctly when I state that the four semifinalists are guaranteed the top 4 spots???

It looks to be that way. I've always been puzzled by the different methods wrestling tournaments have operated under.

Nathan Tomasello takes first place with a major decision. First Buckeye champ of the night.

NaTo turned into a man over the past year. It will serve him well in the tough 125 class. He is a contender in this class. Not saying a win over Micic means that, but the kid is a beast. We are going to find out exactly where BoJo and Snyder are with their finals match-ups. These are going to be tough matches for them both. Martin and Demas can both really make statements with wins in the finals. This has already been fun to watch and it's just an open...

Josh Demas and Bo Jordan take 1st over very respectable opponents.

Most impressed I've ever been with the Buckeyes in an early season event. Wrestling smart and with passion. Even their less experienced guys have wrestled well. The only head scratcher is Tav's early loss.

NaTo is so much better on the mat than I expected. Demas is much improved on the mat as well. And Bo's controlled win over a very tough Massa is a big early season statement.

Austin Reese just pinned Jairrod James in the second period of a scoreless match. Nice win for Reese.

I totally agree! The bucks thus far have made a true statement. Nate looks tough, Demas finding ways to win the close match, BO dominating on top against a worthy opponent. I hope Martin is ok! Go bucks!

With more experience/offense on his feet, Aut be a force in the future. His mat wrestling is a big plus for him.
