Discussion Topic: Wrestling workout

Anyone have opinions on what a junior high kid should concentrate on? I think cardio is a given, but what about strength? Should they concentrate on core strength first? if so, what are good core strength workouts? Speed\agility over core strength? What are some good speed\agility workouts?

Good place to look at is Scott Goodpaster of CFF. He publishes an article each month in WIN magazine about what wrestlers can do. He focuses on functional strength that is applicable for wrestling.
