As you see below, the guy he beat 2 matches to 0 finds himself in the gold medal match for at the University World Championships. One would think Ian would be in the same position had he gone. Curious if anyone has info as to why he didn't compete in this.

Caldwell wins gold. You'd have to think Ian would duplicate those results.

He stated he wanted to take a much needed vacation/break from wrestling. Hard to blame him there.
Oh and if Oliver would have gone to University World they would have been 8 of 8 for medals.
