Demas looked very good. Maybe someone can explain to me why Ashnault got the four points on the out of bounds move? Demas was defending but he whizzered and hipped in to create the back exposure. I thought he should have got the points.
A mea culpa to Pat Altvater. Watching Tomasello impressed the heck out of me. Willeford and Mytych are solid opponents and he just wore them down until his offense opened up.

Great to see Demas back in the mix. Love that guy.
Also was excited to see Camp wrestle and look pretty solid as well. Looks in shape and crisp all things considered.

You can see Bo wrestling on the mat behind Demas. I'm assuming that was his finals TF. Ashnault is a bit of an eye-poker if you watch how he positions his hand on Josh's head/face.

"if you've seen Tomasello up close this year, he has enormous upper body, at 120 he has the chest of a 138. He will be ready physically for college, he trains like a madman---- but as u say mat skills will decide if he can beat out Roberts who had quite a prep carer himself in PA a year ago--but recall that Roberts did lose to DiCamillo in the Dapper Dan.
i brought this question up PRESEASON, i asked if Tomasello was on the very short list of Ohio's most elite Lower Wts ever, i said YES. Now i think answer is confirmed YES its a NO BRAINER, baring something very shocking yet to occur.
if he ends up with 4 state titles, unbeaten since freshman year- he already has 3 Ironman titles, 2 fargo junior national freestyle titles. Beast title this year, OW at Ironman and Medina 2X OW.
this list is based on High SCHOOL acompishments only-- let's say it includes all those who finished their HS career at 126 or lower.
its an extremely short list wherever u draw the line. ...s/BobP"
(AND Tomasello added another Fargo Jr ntl FR title to his resume later that summer. Ryan tells me he is very good on top & bottom, so its all systems go for this guy as of today.)

My thoughts:
Demas – Glad to see he scored 6 points on takedowns and the points he gave up were all freestyle points. Also, good to see he responded with a takedown once the match was tied up. In folk that match wouldn’t have been close.
Tomasello – Had a couple nice takedowns and turns. Willeford had no hope of penetrating his defense. The match against Mytych impressed me because of the strength he showed in dominating a grown man. Tomasello could be a force this year, and, if rumors of Mega taking a RS and Garrett moving up turn out to be true, he could be a finalist.
Jordan – I didn’t see his match but I assume he was awesome, as always.
Camp – I hate to say it, but I’m not surprised he defaulted out after losing to Simaz. I don’t think he’ll finish his career at Rutgers, and wouldn’t be that surprised if he doesn’t even finish the year.

Jason: My thoughts on Camp are the same as yours. Hope we are wrong though.
My question is, I believe this was a qualifier for WTT, do any of these three show up?
I see Tomasello being competitive. Demas might have a tough go, but wouldn't mind seeing him try. And for Bo, well at least potential matches with Burroughs and Taylor would really show us where he is at.

I would think Tomasello will wrestle in the Junior WTT.
