FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Registration continues to be open for the 22nd Ohio Tournament of Champions, to be held on April 26, at the Columbus Convention Center, in Downtown Columbus, OH. This year’s initial entry deadline is Wednesday, April 16. Space permitting, late registration will run thru April 21st (10 pm EST), though a late fee may apply.

While current entires number more than 830, based on the past two years, expect the final number of participants to be somewhere between 2800-3000. In 2012, the final 17 days brought in 1854 additional entries, while last year’s final 17 days brought 1995.

Past TofC participants read like a whose who of high school and college wrestling, including: Kyle Dake, David Taylor, Lance Palmer, Jason Tsirtsis, Andrew Howe, Logan Stieber, Hunter Stieber, Eric Tannenbaum, Ed Ruth, Todd Preston, Mark Hall, Cade Olivas, Collin Palmer, Dustin Schlatter, Dyland Alton, Andrew Alton, Nico Megaludis, Anthony Collica, J. Jaggers, Michael Poeta, Mike Benefiel, Jack Clark, Colt Sponseller, Gus Sako, Joey Ward, Luke Silver, Coleman Scott, Kyle Ott, Israel Martinez, Chance Marsteller, Josh Kindig, Jimmy Gulibon, Kevin Devoy, Devin Carter and 10X TofC Champion Jon Reader.

While the TofC is well known for its competition in the high school and younger groups, numbers in the Open Division, (for those who have graduated high school) continue to grow at a rapid pace. This year, we are expecting a record number of Open Division wrestlers to participate.

To register for this year’s Ohio TofC, or to see if you have met qualification standards, go to www.ohiotofc.com and click on either Registration or Tournament Information. A quick recap of qualification would include:
