Discussion Topic: Cincinnati Youth Wrestling?

I have a friend with a 6-ish year old son who loves to wrestle around and has a ton of energy. My friend never wrestled or anything and thus doesn't know where to take his kid, but he wants to get his kid involved. I'm fairly new to the area thus I don't know either.
Anyone know of any good spots to expose this kid to wrestling and help him burn off some energy? They live in the Madisonville area. I think they aren't looking to drop a ton of cash on this but I don't know how much these things generally cost.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

If he's in the Madisonville area the best place would probably be the Moeller's kid club just a few minutes away from where is. I'm not sure on the cost but most kids clubs run under $150 in the Cincinnati area.

I opened this to type the same thing!!!
Hopefully the kid finds somewhere that can expose him to the greatness of the sport.

Pierce Harger came up through that Moeller program. Just AA'd as a junior at Northwestern.
And Dakota Sizemore came up through the Fairfield kids club. 1X state champ in wrestling (2X in football), headed to wrestle at Ohio U on scholarship.
So yeah, they wrestle some in Cincinnati. ;-)

Matt McIntire, Zach Flake, Steve Wolery and Bo Touris all came through the Lakota Kids Club. More recently Corey Shie was apart of the club for a while. I run that one now so it obviously is near and dear to my heart. We had about 60 kids out including about 45 in the beginners so the numbers are getting back to where they need to be.
What Cincinnati lacks is a unified front in the offseason at the higher level. No true open mats or anything along those lines.

Thanks for the input--especially from Pat. I passed the Moeller club along. I think Lakota will probably be too out of the way at this point.

Yes Lakota way out of the way but the Moeller would be a great option they have strong numbers in the club.
Pat's analysis as always is spot on.

Oh come on, you guys don't let me have any fun at other people's expense without getting all factual.

Check out goldencrosswrestling.com. It's ran by former Graham state champ Avery Zerkle. I believe its based out of LaSalle high school.

What is that they say don't let facts get in the way of a good story.
