Good article.
I especially liked the quote from Tom Ryan about next year;s team:
'If they can live the life of discipline, we're going to be in a position to win it!'
How true that it is!
Of course 'discipline' takes on a plethora of meanings in a wrestling team environment, like:
discipline to get good grades,
discipline to stay focused,
discipline to stay away from drugs and alcohol, discipline to work hard on technique and film study, discipline to regulate weight,
discipline to regulate energy levels,
discipline to train harder when you are too tired to stand-up,
discipline to be on-time for all work-outs,
discipline to listen to those coaches when they are trying to help you,
discipline to overcome that darn painful, nagging, broken finger,
discipline to handle emotional and family and relationship issues,
and discipline to overcome any physical short-comings (ie: cardio).
