Quote from Mark Niemann's post:

"Brian: In a matter of six matches - SIX, I say - I went from 16th, to 11th, to 20th!!!!!!!

My advice... Ride it out."

I'm in it for the duration. I'm waiting for PSU to implode and everyone to get burnt by their Taylor and Ruth picks.

Now that's just crazy talk. Taylor wins 165. Ruth will have to work in the semis. But my guess is Ruth by 4, with RT to make it 5. We shall see.

I agree totally with you! let's remember Ruth pinned Dean earlier in the year. All due respect to Dean who I feel is the real deal. Ruth and Taylor are two of the most dominate wrestlers in NCAA history. They are the biggest reason why Penn State has won the NCAA Championships the last three seasons! let's see how the Nittany lions look next year without this two. Next year will be a lot different! Go Bucks!

"Kraisser has not been doing well for me either, although there were some nice surprises with brewer and taffur getting bonus last round"

I watched Tuffour wrestle Walsh and was really rooting for him. He pushed the whole match and got in on a shot late. Walsh tried to funk out and Tuffour stuck him as time was expiring. I'd love to see Tuffour place since BU is dropping.

Crazy has been known to win these types of contests if the "sure" thing loses. There is a fine line between genius and crazy. Since there was no money involved, I went crazy.

On the wings of my MAC all-star team, the Phoenix moves from last place to 30th. Can it be sustained???

I am terrible at this.

"43rd place is no place. You're off the team."

I have obviously misunderstood the point of the game. I thought the object was to choose guys who cost a lot of points and who would lose multiple times early in the tournament. DOH!!

I went to bed last night certain that my choices of Burak, McClure, Maple and Jordan were a sign of genius and that after the dust settled I'd have shot up to near the top.

Yeah......

At this point, I'd be pretty darn happy just to see Stieber, Heflin and Miller in the finals.

What a crazy tourney!

Quentin Wright is right in that same boat. Champ, Runner-up, Champ those three years. Not to shabby.

I think this pool is broken.

The points from the last consolation round haven't been added. Clearly broken as I'm not in first.

My MAC all-star team has folded like a cheap tent.

Me too. He was a low rank (cheap buy) with high end capabilities. Certainly should have outplaced his seed. Instead, he loses to Grajales* and falls to the 7th place match.

*Grajales - he's now a top 6 guy in the nation at 149, beat a returning national champion, and still drives me nuts every time I watch him. But great career.
