Points well taken on rules 1-3. I actually still like the rule change on #4.

Is this a joke? I'm not following #1, at all.
There's got to me more to it, right? I can't be entitled to 2 if I merely grab/secure both legs of a guy while he's still standing, right? I assume they mean that 2 is awarded when you have both legs secured and the defensive wrestler is then relegated to his hip and/or hind end. Assuming so, the video does not make this clear. But I have enjoyed Duke's past videos, so kudos to them...

These changes would have resulted in both Logan and Jordan Oliver being awarded a TD that neither received in their NCAA finals bout.
Logan has used that neck pressure move to score. Mike Pucillo used to do something similar but he'd rip his opponents backwards.
As already mentioned, I'm assuming that wrapping up the legs also means bringing the opponent to the mat.
These changes award aggressive wrestling. I wish the rules committee would get serious about stalling on top.

I feel the issue arises from if a wrestler is fighting to give up the escape point so he is riding but is trying to avoid getting rolled through on an attempted turn to give up points. I am all for aggressive wrestling. But the issue is several wrestlers know they've gotten burned for being aggressive before so they are more cautious and now want to ride a kid to avoid the point of the escape. There is no way for them to say fine I will give up my position on top and give us an equal shot from neutral without giving up a point. So why would a wrestler want to lose their dominant spot to go into a neutral one and give up a point?

Chris: Not sure what you're saying. I think you're discussing the mentality of the top wrestler but not sure what it has to do with what I said.

What stalling call would you like called more on the top man? I was saying that because many say if the top man is not attempting to turn the bottom man that a stall call should be made. So I was showing another side to not calling a stall on the top man more since they are stuck in that mini paradox at times.

Chris: I'm talking about how officials allow top man to ride parallel without improving or just cover the hips. If top is making progress--bottom is flat and fighting not to get turned--then it's a different story. The unwritten rule is that officials allow top to basically do anything for a minute before the possibility of a stall call comes into play.
