The interview on Flo with Nick N indicates it was between tOSU and Penn St, with PSU just edging them.

Bob: Wasn't Josh Kindig almost a Buckeye?

And there was some kid from Delaware/Pa that actually verballed to Ohio State then ended up at Okie State (and subsequently left the Cowboys).

I don't know any names off hand, but with the young staff that gravitated that way about two years ago, I sensed that it was only a matter of time before the Wolverines were back in the picture.

...great moogally googally.

yes ohio st was 2nd in the Josh Kindig sweepstakes, from PA he is starting for Ok st. Alex Meade was the highly recruited Delaware kid that alledgedly verballed to ohio st then changed mind. Ohio st dodged a bullet with Meade who didnt work out at Ok st.

ohio st a real bridesmaid under Ryan, who can forget probably 2nd for David Taylor too.

but lifes like that, for golfers witness PHL MICKELSON 6X US Open runnerup. He is still a great great golfer, but only one can hoist the trophy.

last night i told Ryan as he was flying out on still another recruiting mission, "Ohio had 11 AAs this year, but only 3 were on ohio states roster, so there talent here much of it probably begging to be buckeyes."

if ohio st wasnt a great place for wrestlers then they wouldnt be finishing 2nd so often in the recruiting sweepstakes. Like Mickelson, Tom and his coaches will keep fighting and i expect good things to happen, but they just didnt happen yesterday. ...BobP

The unfortunate thing about recruiting is that 2nd place gets you absolutely nothing and actually costs you all the time you invested into recruiting that kid. At least Phil gets a fat check for his efforts. That's just the way the game is, though.

Nevills should be a good one. It's a shame he has chosen to doom himself by selecting a PA school, but some people insist on learning the hard way.

AP__The Big Ten female athlete of the year award no longer is named for an Olympic track star from Wisconsin who later acknowledged working as a $600 an hour prostitute in Las Vegas.

A Big Ten spokesman said that Suzy Favor Hamilton’s name was removed from the award after discussions between the league and Wisconsin.
(What "discussions" were necessary??)

Favor competed in the Olympics in 1992, 1996 and 2000. The Smoking Gun website in December reported that Favor Hamilton had worked as an escort in Las Vegas.

Favor said she did it "as a coping mechanism for depression". (And i resort to an occassional valium, geeeeez.)

Dano reports, "i met this girl, never would have suspected it. She watched my Elvis show in Vegas and suggested we get together for a drink."

A hooker named Suzy "Favor"--what am I missing?

Not that this is relevant but I absolutely believe that prostitution should be legal.

That would introduce a new element to the corned beef business ;-)

Any particular reason? Less government or more economics?

who are the 3, chance, nevills, haines? ---i question whether they keep haines who is projected hvwt, he has to be pissed that penn st recruited nevills for the same weight class after haines verbaled prior to last season.

maybe ohio st can recruit haines for hvwt? why not, he hasnt signed yet.

(imo ohio st got 2 top 5-ers last year with BoJ and Tomasello. HEADS-UP, Ryan son gonna help ohio st too, eventually, going to Columbus st now, will enroll Winter-- working out at RTC and looking good!)

I was thinking the same thing about Haines. He'd make a nice consolation prize. He's been one of Snyder's few competitors as well.

Anyone else see that Burke Paddock has verballed to Iowa? Wonder if the Bucks had any interest in Ian's brother? He's projected at 165/174.
