From a KSU release on the women's gymnastics schedule:
"Two home dates highlight Kent State's schedule: ... while a "Beauty and the Beast" meet, a simultaneous meet with Kent State wrestling, is on the docket for Friday, Feb. 8. More information will be released at a later date on the first-ever simultaneous event."
Coach A and his staff are never boring when it comes to getting fans to attend. Have any other schools done this?

I know Mizzou did this in the past. Great idea, nice to see some creativity to drive attendance.

Pitt Panthers did this a couple years ago.
I'm doing this next year with our girls basketball team. Who are the beauties and who are the beasts are debatable.

We did this last year in a dual meet. This year or tournament and a large event for them will be combined using different gyms.

Kent used to have a curtain up. Wrestling on one side and Gymnastics on the other. I was there to cover the wrestling for a magazine. My eight year old nephew was with me. He kept going over to the other side of the the curtain. Once I took a look I understood why. :)
Needless to say I snap a few shot with my camera on the beauty side. I do not think it was marketed as a combo event. Just double booking the arena.
