Quote from Mark Niemann's post:

"

I was almost sold on this around Late September. I thought they may have enough AA's in the 4 through 6 range to make it happen. Then I saw Penn State and Cornell in action, and rethought. Then I saw Iowa against Penn State and really had to reconsider! All in all, not totally unrealistic (as say Davidson winning it all!)"

Mark:

Okie State was my preseason favorite as well. For some reason (I think it might be John Smith's awesome interviews) I have grown a little fond of the Cowboys in the last few years.

In my mind, what removes them from the title picture isn't just the explosion of PSU and Cornell, but also the fact that the Cowboys are now lacking the services of two guys who looked like strong All-America candidates in September/October: Alex Meade and Alan Gelogaev.

Meade has transferred to WVU and floundered around unsuccessfully at 174. Gelogaev hurt his neck in the early season and has been out all year.

What I don't understand is why Smith pulled Josh Kindig's redshirt midseason when he knew he didn't have Meade and probably wouldn't have Gelogaev.

Ben: I think it's obvious... you hate John Smith. Comes to grips with it and you'll begin to make progress. See me and David Taylor for any and all examples!!!!!! Har har har...
