Right about now...the phone rings.
Mike's Mom: Michael, telephone, some gentleman named Tom Ryan for you.
Mike (answering): Hi, Coach, How are you?
Tom Ryan: Good, Mike, Congratulations.
Mike: Thanks, can you hold on a second? Someone is beeping in. Hello?
Jim Andrassy: Hi Mike! Way to go yesterday. This is Jimmy Andrassy from Kent State. We were really impressed...
Mike' Mom: Mike, your cel phone is ringing
Mike: Coach, hold on a second (picks up cel phone)...Hello?
Joel Greenlee: Hi Mike, Joel Greenlee from Ohio U. Looks like you had a terrific day yesterday.
Mike: Hold on coach, someone is beeping in. (presses the green key) Hello?
Frank Romano: Hey there, Mike. Frank Romano from the two time National Champion NDC Falcons. Congratulations to you...
Mike: Coach Romano, hold on just a second (puts down cel phone and picks up regular phone)...Coach Ryan?
Jim Andrassy: No, it's Jimmy Andrassy from Kent, the Best program in Ohio, not the one that won't wrestle us.
Mike: Hold on coach Andrassy (clicks back to Tom Ryan). Hi Coach Ryan.
Tom Ryan: Hi Mike. Feeling good today?
Mike: Sure am (doorbell rings in background).
Mike's Mom: Michael, there's a gentleman at the door to see you.
Mike: Hold on Coach Andrassy, er, Coach Ryan
(picks up Cel phone). Hold on Coach Greenleaf...or is this Coach Ramona...wait just a second. Goes to doorbell and sees a gentleman he's never met.
Kevin Dresser: Hi Mike, Kevin Dresser from Virginia Tech. I just happened to be in the neighborhood so I thought I'd pop in and say hello...
And so it goes for a kid that pulled one of the biggest upsets in the tournament.
Later that day--on his cel phone--Mike gets a text:

definitely not that big of an upset to those that know!!!
he's got a bright future - and his older brother just placed 6th at JUCO Nationals as a frosh...some gooooood genes in that fam.
