Discussion Topic: Ohio State v. Wisconsin - 2/13/11

My thoughts on Ohio State v. Wisconsin:
125 – Bo Touris v. Tom Kelliher
This is a match that Touris MUST win. Quite frankly, if his Hi-C is working, he could look for bonus. 3-0 OSU
133 – Ian Paddock/Jacob Vaughn v. #3 Tyler Graff
It would be nice if Paddock could keep this to a decision, but I doubt it the way he has been wrestling. I see anywhere from 4-6 for Wisconsin here. 3-6 Wisconsin
141 – Randy Languis v. Shane McQuade/Danny Arnel
This is a winnable match for Languis, and a must for any upset hopes. Definite win vs. Arnel, toss-up against McQuade. 6-6
149 – Mike Fee v. #8 Cole Schmitt
Another weight where avoiding bonus would be nice, but isn’t likely. 6-10 Wisconsin
157 – Jared Kusar/Sean Nemec v. Kalvin York/Shawn Perry
Another winnable match, but, the way these two have been wrestling for OSU, I don’t see it. 6-13 Wisconsin
165 – #7 Colt Sponseller v. Ben Cox
Bonus points should happen for Sponseller, and I think he breaks Cox late. 10-13 Wisconsin
174 – #13 Nick Heflin v. #17 Ben Jordan
I think Heflin is more talented, but seems afraid to be aggressive. Riding could be the difference here. 13-13
184 – Cody Magrum v. #3 Travis Rutt
Magrum has to keep this to a decision, and I think he can. His slow pace will help him here. 13-16 Wisconsin
197 – Peter Capone v. #2 Trevor Brandvold/Derrick Borlie
If Borlie wrestles Capone can win this, if it is Brandvold, avoiding bonus would be nice. 13-19 Wisconsin
285 – Zach Stolarsky v. #11 Eric Bugenhagen
I hate to say it, but if Stolarsky can stay off his back that is probably a victory. 13-25 Wisconsin
Ohio State can win this dual with wins at 125, 141, 157, 165 (bonus), 174 and 197 (no Brandvold). That’s not likely, but I think they can keep it closer than expected against the #12 team. GO BUCKS!!!!!

Brandvold has wrestled his last few matches, so I think we'll be seeing him.

John: Thanks for posting the link. But the stream keeps stopping and starting. Very annoying. Saw Languis win by pin. How did Touris do?

My stream is good so far. Touris got handled pretty good.
Nemec looking good. And then shut it down.

Freshman Joe Grandominico. Got ridden a lot, but never gave up. I thought he looked better than Fee. I would go with this kid next week.
