Before Ohio State left for the National Duals head coach Tom Ryan was looking forward to the Buckeyes matchup with top-ranked Cornell in the first round.
“We are excited about the dual because we are going to great some individual matchups,” stated Ryan on Tuesday. “We want to do well and think we have a great opportunity.”
“The guys that are changing weights can make a statement, the guys that are stepping into the lineup will be challenged, and the guys that are coming back can show some progress.”
After the Big Red topped Ohio State 27-6 in the championship bracket and Northern Iowa eliminated them with a 20-19 victory in the consolations; missed opportunities turned into frustration and disappointment.
