brutal football score. eeeeeeek. I just remembered how bad losing can suck. I feel bad for Colt. Despite having an amazing tank and willingness to train intensely, has not developed the technical proficiency necessary. That sucks even worse than the losing.

What's worse is Wright from Penn State is out right now and they bumped up the lineup. Only big hole on PSU is 197 but that will change next year with McIntosh in there.
Taylor put on a brilliant performance that shocked everyone except maybe Taylor.
I think the experiment in weight classes needs to end.

I'm not shocked at all by this result. I just finished watching the bout and, to be honest, it wasn't as close as the score. This could have been a technical fall had Taylor chosen that rout. It will be a tech-fall if they meet again. It's no slight on Sponseller, David Taylor is just that good.

McIntosh will be an immediate impact 184 with Wright moving up to 197. At least that is what I heard this weekend.

It's fortunate Garcia re-upped with the Buckeyes last month or he might have re-thought his choice to do so.
There is no ignoring the beating and one would expect a team hoping to compete every year to do better but what result -- short of Paddock's -- wasn't expected. The margins of defeat may have been a little higher than hoped for and the Sponseller experiment isn't working but which result should (not could) have gone the other way?
No Heflin wrestling. Magrum won as he should have. Every other bout PSU was favored, in my opinion.
Now if next years great class doesn't turn things around within a couple of years, there are problems that are systemic.
That's the best I can sugarcoat it.
